NexTrip (“NexTrip,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a technology platform that enables riders and drivers to connect for transportation-related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the NexTrip mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Background-check information requested by Checkr is submitted through Checkr’s own process; NexTrip does not receive or store Social Security numbers or dates of birth collected by Checkr.

If you choose to connect Spotify or share music preferences, we may collect playlist, genre, and related preference information. NexTrip may create a ride playlist based on your selected playlist or preferences and may track whether a driver uses your shared playlist or preferred genres during a ride.

If you import contact addresses for favorite ride locations, that favorite-location data is stored locally on your device using device-provided protected storage. NexTrip does not receive the contact name associated with a saved favorite location. If you use a favorite location for a ride, NexTrip receives the address needed to provide the ride.

NexTrip does not store full payment card, bank account, or payout details. Payments and payouts are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe, subject to their respective privacy policies. NexTrip may store transaction records, account references, and other information needed to operate payment and payout features.

Service providers may include Stripe, Checkr, Spotify, Firebase or Google services, Mapbox, email and support tools, cloud hosting providers, and private media storage providers. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, cross-app tracking, or unrelated third-party marketing.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption, secure communication protocols, access controls, and limits on which authorized personnel and services may access sensitive information. Driver documents and vehicle inspection media are stored in private media storage and are accessible only through authorized NexTrip systems.

We retain personal information as long as necessary to provide the Platform, support safety and compliance operations, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Precise ride-path location data used for ride playback and safety review is generally retained for up to two weeks. Ride records, waypoint information, transaction records, account records, driver compliance documents, support requests, and legally required records may be retained longer.

7. Your Choices

You may update certain account information through the app. Location sharing and notifications can be managed through device settings, although some location access is required for active ride features. Account deletion or broader data deletion requests may be submitted through NexTrip support and will be handled according to applicable legal, safety, tax, payment, dispute, and compliance requirements.

8. Children

The current Platform is intended for adults and is not directed to children or minors. NexTrip does not knowingly collect personal information from children as part of the current service.
